Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Certii ("the app", "we", "us"), a Progressive Web App operated by Ben Parry. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these Terms.

1. The service

Certii is a subscription-based tool that allows gas engineers to create, manage, and store gas safety inspection certificates. The service is intended for use by qualified gas engineers registered with Gas Safe Register.

2. Eligibility

You must be a qualified gas engineer or authorised representative of a gas engineering business to use Certii. By using the app you confirm that you hold the relevant qualifications and Gas Safe registration required to carry out gas safety inspections in your jurisdiction.

3. Subscriptions and billing

Certii is available on a monthly (£24.95/month) or annual (£249.95/year) subscription basis.
Payments are processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your card details.
Annual plans are billed as a single upfront payment.
Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date.
You may cancel at any time via the "Manage Subscription" option in the app settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — no partial refunds are issued for unused time.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Use the app to produce fraudulent or falsified certificates.
Share your account credentials with others.
Attempt to reverse-engineer, copy, or redistribute the app or its underlying code.
Use the app in any way that violates applicable law or Gas Safe Register requirements.

5. Certificate accuracy

Certii is a tool to assist in producing certificates — it does not verify the accuracy of the information you enter. You remain solely responsible for ensuring that all inspection data, readings, and outcomes recorded in any certificate are accurate and comply with the relevant safety standards and regulations.

6. Google Drive integration

Certii can save certificates to your Google Drive. This integration is subject to Google's own Terms of Service. We are not responsible for the availability, security, or reliability of Google Drive. You are responsible for managing access to your Drive account.

7. Availability

We aim to keep Certii available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may carry out maintenance, updates, or experience downtime beyond our control. No refunds are issued for brief periods of unavailability.

8. Intellectual property

All code, design, and branding associated with Certii remains the property of Ben Parry. You retain full ownership of the certificate data you create and store through the app.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Certii and its operator are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including but not limited to losses arising from certificate errors, data loss, or service interruption.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent update.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
